Who We Are
A Balanced Life DAYHAB is a private non-residential day rehabilitation centre in the heart of Hackney Wick, London. We bring a truly Holistic approach to solving addiction problems, with countless modalities of support within a bespoke programme of change.
Our two founders have over 40 years of continuous personal recovery & experience working in the field of addiction. Combine this with a team of support staff that are experts in their chosen fields of self-help, we are well positioned to offer a unique & trusted service.
Built fundamentally on abstinence as the primary course of action we deliver a programme that consists of proven methods for the sustainability of long-term recovery from addiction & it’s associated behaviours.
Our mission is to provide a gateway to long term successful living through private affordable non-residential rehabilitation, helping clients balance their lives & obtain the tools needed for a sustainable recovery.
Meet the Team
Founder & Therapeutic Lead
Kevin is a humanistic counsellor, and a
registered BACP member with over fifteen years of experience working in the addiction field.
Founder & Workshop Lead
Daniel has over 20 years in continuous recovery, with further accreditation & learnings in Coaching & Mindfulness.
Lauren has over 8 years experience in the marketing and creative industries.
Integrative Counsellor & Hypnotherapist
Shelley has over 30 years of experience working within the corporate world & is now transferring her expertise for ABL DayHab.
Abi is a Humanistic Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.
Abi has over 4 years’ experience of working with clients that bring a range of issues
Herbalist, Naturopath & Iridologist
Adam is a qualified Herbalist, Naturopath and Iridologist. A member of the ANP (association of naturopathic practitioners), GNI (Guild of Naturopathic irdologists) and the GNC (General Naturopathic Council).
Alisa Tsykhotsky supports the health and wellbeing of individuals, workplaces and communities enabling them to thrive by identifying methods of movement, development and growth
Life Coach and NLP Practitioner
Bukky is a certified NLP Practitioner and Life Coach, qualifying at NLP School, London.
He helps clients to overcome personal challenges and gain clarity in their future.
Acupuncturist & Wellbeing Practitioner
Claire is a qualified and experienced Acupuncturist and Naturopath. She is a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP)
Kellie is a Person-Centred counsellor and a registered member of the BACP working with people facing various issues such as: depression and anxiety, relationship or family problems, low confidence and self-esteem, childhood trauma, and bereavement.
Reiki, Qi Qong and Indian Head Massage Practitioner
Lina is a Theta, Angelic Connection, Qi Qong and Indian Head Massage practitioner as well as community connector and entrepreneur.
Acupuncturist & Homeopath
I am registered with BAcC (British Acupuncture Council) as well as the ARH (The Alliance of registered Homeopaths) and The Acupuncture Society.
Sarah is a BACP Accredited Counsellor with 6 years of experience working with addictive tendencies, depression, disassociation, loss, intimacy, relationship problems and shame.
What We Offer
We welcome clients from the private sector, primary treatment centres & community funding.
With group work at its core, alongside 1to1 counselling & a bespoke programme of alternative therapies, we offer long-term ongoing support within our unique programme.
Offering a 2 full day program, with the flexibility to attend all 1to1 sessions on other weekdays or online & Saturday morning check-in groups, for past & present clients.
This offers the opportunity for those coming from residential treatment the necessary support with the transition back into their lives. In addition, our programme help’s those looking to make the necessary changes they desire, without disrupting their current life structure.

1 to 1 Therapy
One to one weekly therapy sessions with a qualified counsellor
Workshops and talks covering a range of topics to aiding in a successful recovery
The choice from a number of Alternative Therapies and their various modalities
We deliver a combination of timetable & flexibility to each individual clients needs.
Here is the combination of the support that is at the heart of each week at A Balanced Life Dayhab.
20 hours of Group Work, Talks & Workshops a week
Including relapse prevention, 12 step studies, CBT/coaching workshops, Sharing Circles, Yoga, Meditation & Breath-work.
1-2-1 Counselling & Alternative Therapies
1 Hour Addiction/Trauma Therapy session & 1 hour personal alternative therapy session tailored on the client’s needs.
All carried out by fully qualified practitioners
Ongoing Support from our dedicated team for client’s & loved ones*
Saturday morning check-in sessions
for past and present clients & regular Family Support Groups*
Structure & Cost
2 Full Days a Week I 2 -8pm
(Cohorts run Mon/Wed & Tues/Thurs)
1 hour Private
1 to 1 Counselling per week
All qualified counsellors with experience in dealing with various issues including addiction, trauma, relationships, bereavement & more.
Starting from £625 per week for a minimum 4 week’s – with the option for continuous support up to 6 months.
Saturday Check-in group
9.30am – 12.30pm
Available for all past & present clients
1 hour Alternative Therapy Per Week & Gym Access
All fully qualified practitioners in various modalities including – Acupuncture, Yoga, Nutrition, Cupping, Massage, Gym Classes including Boxing, Thai Chi & Zumba.
(Additional access to on-site gym available during the week).
